Season 2008 has been a very successful year for the Hazelwood
racing team. Todd's first year in bitumen racing has been outstanding.
Todd competed in 31 race meetings and managed a staggering 13 x 1st, 9 x
2nd and 4 x 3rd podium positions, only missing the podium 5 times. Todd
was also successful in winning the Southern Go Kart Club Junior Club
Champion trophy and was also presented with the prestigious Kevin Jenner
award for 2008 junior rookie of the year.
The Hazelwood Racing Team in 2008 focused competing in the South
Australian Festival State cup and the Victorian Country series and
competed in various club and title events.
The Team has been extremely dedicated and travelled many kilometres
to many different events, with not just a few hands of
poker and games of snap played
along the way, and has enjoyed some great success. Major 2008 results as
follows,
4 Rounds of the Festival State cup: Finished
overall 1st
Junior Showdown Mt.Gambier Junior National Light: Finished 2nd
City of Adelaide Title Junior National Light: Finished 2nd
South Australian closed State Titles Whyalla: Finished 2nd
6 Rounds Victorian Country Series; Finished overall 2nd
Northern Territory open state Titles Darwin: Finished 3rd
South Australian Open State Titles Whyalla: Finished 5th
The Hazelwood racing team wishes to acknowledge this year's success would
